We love the Greenbelt and Barton Creek!
Help us actively steward these special places by volunteering with us! Often volunteer days include picking up trash, ecological restoration such as invasive species removal and native planting, or trail maintenance.
SBCA officially adopted the Barton Creek Greenbelt from the entrance at Highway 360 to Spyglass Drive in Summer 2017. The Adopt-a-Creek program is achieved through a partnership between Keep Austin Beautiful and the City of Austin Watershed Protection Department. This program encourages organizations and other groups to commit to maintaining segments of creeks through trail cleanups and restoration projects.
We are proud to be stewards of the greenbelt. Join us for a volunteer workday on Barton Creek by signing up for one of our events via our MeetUp group.

Goat Cave Karst Preserve Restoration
Goat Cave Karst Preserve Restoration: SBCA completed an Austin Parks Foundation grant to restore a damaged kiosk, educational signage, and feature signage at Goat Cave Karst Preserve, the only public preserve of its kind in Austin. Partners include UT’s Bureau of Economic Geology and the City of Austin Watershed Protection Department. Now, visitors to the preserve have an improved educational experience.
You can visit the preserve at 3900 Deer Ln, Austin, TX. Deer Lane is also named Davis Lane. Parking available on Coastal Drive.
